Family and food and gelato, oh my!

so!
ive been slacking.
but!
here i am back again and have decided to just sit down and type it alllll out
a few weeks back(the first week of this month in fact)..so not that long ago actually...mom, matt and laura came to visit

of course airlines hate life the universe and my family so not only does their flight get in late so that they miss their connection..that flight too gets in late AND manages to lose a bag. This bag is, of course, Laura's. which means the most fashion concious person of the family is without her wardrobe and it also means that no one has toiletrees.
since they arrive at their apartment at about 3am (id been waiting around since about 11pm) no one is really that worried. the first order of business is sleep.
so i leave them to it and walk the short walk to my place

in the morning..you know my current memory of every event is not so clear
this is what happens when youre in college and you dont sleep

that being said. the week was a blast. got to hang out with family, have some good talks with the kids, go to the flea market wiht them too..bargain hunting is always a blast
and essentially it was exactly what i needed

you never really know how much you need a hug from family until you get one. and it was so much fun to take them around and show them the city that ive come to love so very much

so thank you mom for the love, and supporting me through this...and the fantastic dinners we went out to when you were here.

i dont think ive ever eaten so well.

and the last night mom matt and laura were here, aunt val and gil got in. so we all had dinner together and that was so so so so so cool. talk about uber family time

yay being loved!
so that was a good week.
