Jaya and I had our own little Mardi Gras celebration last night. We ate king cake and had a few drinks and listened to zydeco and danced around and did fun parade-going make up.
definitely wasnt like going to a real parade (far fewer beads involved) but definitely was fun.
I do miss new orleans though. wish i could be there but i guess abscence makes the heart grow fonder right? that means next years mardi gras is going to be nuts. one of my guy friends says that hell take me to a ball next year. sweet!
other than that...life is good. wet, its been raining forever and a day, but good.
its crazy to think that ive been here nearly 2 months. wow. seems like longer and also seems like its gone by so fast!
mom and aunt valerie are coming to visit soon, so thats exciting.
but now? is food time. w00t!
